The doctors work in partnership. You may consult any of the doctors, not just the one with whom you are registered, although we prefer you not to swap around too much as continuity of care is important. If you have a preferred doctor or nurse please tell a receptionist. If your doctor is not available then you will be seen by one of the other Partners or by a locum, a fully qualified relief doctor

GP REGISTRARS

The Practice is approved for training doctors who want to become GPs. Dr Robert Smith, Dr Jane Roberts and Dr Nick Prigg are accredited trainers. Registrars in general practice are fully qualified doctors who have at least one year's experience in hospital medicine since qualifying and who undertake a year's supervised experience in general practice. GP Registrars are a valuable addition to our team and you may be offered an appointment with ours. The Receptionists will make this clear to you and the Registrar may discuss your case with one of the Partners as appropriate.

Video recordings of consultations are an important aspect of general practice training but these will only be undertaken with your written consent.

MEDICAL STUDENTS

From time to time final year medical students are attached to the Practice to observe. They are always closely supervised and will be clearly identified to you as students. You have the right to refuse to be treated in the presence of a student, but your co-operation in preparing the next generation of doctors will be greatly appreciated.
