Our staff will make appointments for you, take requests for visits and repeat prescriptions, give you the results of tests when appropriate, answer your queries and offer help and assistance at all times.
All Practice staff are bound by the same strict rules of confidentiality as the doctors. If you wish to discuss matters in private, please tell a receptionist.
Attached Community Nurses and Health Visitors are based at the Ambulance Station in Chirk. Community Nurses visit patients at home to assess their nursing needs, offer advice and provide nursing care. Health Visitors are nurses who have special training in child development and health promotion.
We constantly review the needs of patients and there is a requirement for ongoing staff development and training so that we may improve our services. Partly in order to do this we close the surgery between 1.00 and 1.30 p.m. daily, but there will always be staff available for emergencies and the phone line remains open.
Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board supports a monthly programme of protected time for training for doctors, nurses and all practice staff. This means that we close one afternoon per month-clear notices will advise you of this in advance. When we do close in this way the usual Out of Hours provider, NEWDOC, will be available should a doctor be required in an emergency.
