Welcome to Chirk Surgery. Our GPs, practice nurses and support staff are all committed to providing a high quality primary care service responsive to the needs and choices of individuals, their families and their carers, working with you to maintain and improve your health. Through team work and liaison with the Community Nurses and Health Visitors we aim to be accessible and flexible in meeting the varied needs of our patients and the opportunities presented by local and national initiatives in general practice.

We are a well regarded training practice and have GP registrars, other doctors and medical students working with us. Since 2000 we have been accredited as achieving the National Standard for effective Investment in People.

We hope that this website will give you the information that you require about the Practice and about how to access services. We hope that you find the site easy to navigate and would welcome your feedback via the ‘Enquiries’ page.

Please note that in the interests of security and patient confidentiality we are unable to supply personal information or medical advice via the internet. We are also currently unable to accept email requests for repeat prescriptions.

Please note that only one reply will be provided to your email and, should you have any further queries, please contact the surgery by phone.

When requesting non-urgent appointments or call backs, the practice will reply to your email or contact you by phone within 5 working days and, if you have not received a response within this time, please telephone the practice. However, if your enquiry is urgent, please call the surgery on the above number.

Patients are responsible for ensuring the correctness of their email settings to enable a reply to be received in their email inbox. Please note that we are unable to provide a reply by email unless you have previously provided your email address and your identity has been confirmed. If we do not hold your email address on file, we will be unable to reply via email and would ask you to telephone the surgery.

Your email correspondence can be accessed by all surgery staff and will be stored and kept as per NHS guidelines

Internet email accounts are not secure and patients should be aware of the risks of emails being intercepted or 'hacked'. The practice recommends that patients use private email accounts and not a family or shared account for the purposes of communication with the practice.
