Opening Hours
The surgery in Chirk is open Monday to Friday from 8am to 6:30pm for making appointments and enquiries. The times of surgeries are given below. Please note that all calls to the surgery are recorded for training and monitoring purposes.
Outside of these hours and at weekends you can now call 111 for free access to urgent out-of-hours care and round-the-clock medical support and guidance. This easy-to-remember number is free and provides access to both GP Out of Hours services and the health advice previously delivered by NHS Direct Wales. It helps patients get the right support, help and guidance in the right place at the right time.

From Wednesday, 1st February 2023 patients will now only be able to physically enter the practice building between the hours of 8:30am and 6pm. The 30 minutes either side of the previous opening/closing times will now be used to support practice staff to set-up/close the practice more efficiently which will in turn mean we can provide more effective service delivery for our patients. These changes will allow more staff to be allocated to other areas such as telephony during the busiest times of the day and result in reduced waiting times for patient calls to be answered. This will mean that should you wish to come into the practice to speak to a receptionist face to face, book appointments at the desk or collect prescriptions, you will still be able to do so but only during these new opening times.
This change will not, however, affect patients wishing to contact the practice by telephone as the practice will continue to answer the phones between the hours of 8am and 6:30pm Monday to Friday (except Bank Holidays).
Thank you for your cooperation in ensuring these new changes are adhered to.
Please remember that not every doctor is present at every surgery.
Allowance has to be made for other commitments and holidays.
Receptionists will advise you about particular sessions.
